Mitsubishi’s ASX, one of New Zealand’s best-selling small SUVs, has been given a major design overhaul.

The 2020 ASX is now an exclusively 2WD range and engineers have made changes to the shape and technology of the vehicle.

According to the car maker, the new model features a lightweight, compact body mixed ewith an aggressive front end and stylish detail.

It is available in two new colours – red diamond and sunshine orange – and 18-inch alloys, headlamps, LED DRLs and front fog lamps are standard features across the range.

The top-of-the-line VRX comes with a more powerful 2.4L engine, while safety features for the ASX include Mitsubishi’s RISE impact safety body, lane departure and blind spot warning.

“ASX is a versatile small SUV well-suited for life’s journeys, from everyday commutes to road-trip adventures,” says Reece Congdon, Mitsubishi Motors NZ head of marketing and corporate affairs.

“ASX is an established favourite in New Zealand, thanks to its crossover appeal in and out of the city. It is the highest-selling small SUV in New Zealand this financial year, with 16.7 per cent market share.”

The new 2020 ASX is available from $29,990 + ORC.
