MG New Zealand is expanding its number of sales locations around the country to 22 with the opening of a new dealership in Whangarei.

Northland MG is part of the Tristram Group, which already offers MG vehicles at its site in Auckland’s Wairau Valley.

The new dealership is in Port Road, Whangarei, at the site that was previously run by Mark Cromie Motor Group.

Arek Zywot, country manager of MG New Zealand, says: “It’s long been a desire for MG to expand our brand footprint north of Auckland and this presents the perfect opportunity to do so together with a valued dealer partner.

“Growth and development at a dealer level is a key part of MG’s long-term network strategy, to help ensure all Kiwis have access to value and technology-laden new vehicles with a variety of powertrain options and body styles.

“Increased accessibility to our new model portfolio means a larger number of potential buyers will now be able to add MG to their consideration list.”

The move into Northland comes as the brand celebrates its centennial year and prepares to welcome a number of new products to its line-up over the coming months.

Bradley Antonievic, dealer principal of Northland MG, notes: “There’s a wide selection of no-and-low emission models as well as traditional internal combustion engine vehicles with impressively low fuel consumption, which means there’s a transport solution for almost every requirement.

“The recently revealed all-new MG3 is going to be something special and I can’t wait for some roof-off, top-down motoring around Northland roads in the all-new Cyberster, MG’s first all-electric sports car, when it launches in New Zealand.”

In addition to offering new vehicle sales, Northland MG will also cater for all servicing requirements and have a wide selection of parts and accessories available.
