Wanganui Toyota has become part of Manawatu & TRC Toyota following a change of ownership at the end of last year.

Debbie Hart, chief executive officer of Manawatu & TRC Toyota, says it’s a privilege to continue Richard and Michelle Nessling’s legacy and honour their commitment to the community.

“We’ve been loving welcoming customers in-store and getting to know our Wanganui community’s needs,” she says. “It’s been a really busy time and we’re grateful for everyone’s patience during this transition.

“At all our stores from Masterton to Feilding, our team strives to give the best customer experience, and along the way build long-term relationships and friends in communities we serve.”

Manawatu & TRC Toyota has been owned and operated by the Hart family, Debbie, Brendon and Fraser, for 18 years with four existing stores in the Manawatu, Horowhenua and Wairarapa regions.

“Wanganui Toyota was part of the Nessling family for nine years not only providing exceptional vehicle sales, finance, insurance, parts servicing and more, but also supporting the community through Surf Lifesaving, Wanganui Community Patrol and Aramoho Rowing Club to name a few,” says Steve Prangnell, Toyota NZ’s general manager of franchise development.

“With Richard’s passing at the end of last year, we’re grateful we were able to keep his legacy going by keeping ownership in the existing Toyota family. The store is in capable hands with the Hart family.”

Late Wanganui Toyota CEO Richard Nessling began his automotive career as a salesman at Wanganui Toyota. He spent time at Taupo Toyota become moving back to Wanganui and buying Wanganui Toyota with his wife Michelle.
