New network seeks dealers

Dealers are being encouraged to become part of a new network being launched by AA Motoring in 2021.

The organisation is in the throes of creating an AA Preferred Dealer Network and is seeking expressions of interest from those keen to be a part of the new venture.

It will be free to join and benefits will include AA Motoring branding on dealers’ signage and digital channels.

Another perk will be promotion to AA Members and AA Smartfuel cardholders – about 2.6 million New Zealanders.

Jonathan Sergel, AA Motoring Services general manager, says the network has huge potential and dealers have until December 11 to submit expressions of interest.

“The AA has been helping motorists for more than 115 years, and is unquestionably one of the most trusted brands in the country,” explains Sergel, pictured.

“As a trusted and expert motoring voice, AA Members and motorists often ask us for dealer recommendations.

“Being part of the AA Preferred Dealer Network will set members apart from other motor vehicle traders and tell buyers they offer a level of service which we back and trust.”

Criteria for joining includes selling AA-appraised used cars that have had an AA warrant of fitness (WOF) – at least 80 per cent of vehicles available through the dealership must be AA appraised.

Newly imported vehicles will also need to have an AA odometer verified window sticker and have completed AA entry compliance.

“If applicants can prove to us they’re running a great operation, they can enjoy many perks as a member of the AA family,” says Sergel.
