New MD for Nissan Oceania

Nissan has announced Adam Paterson will become the new managing director of Nissan Oceania, which covers New Zealand and Australia, from July 1.

The current director of marketing at Nissan Canada and former managing director of Infiniti Canada will be based in Melbourne for his new role.

Paterson, pictured, has held a number of roles with Nissan and Infiniti Canada over the past 10 years, including marketing, sales operations and dealer operations. He was also regional general manager, Western Canada for Nissan where he was responsible for regional marketing, distribution, dealer network development and financial controls. 

He is replacing Stephen Lester, who has been managing director of Nissan Oceania since September 2017 and whose future plans are set to be announced by the marque in due course.  

A statement from Nissan says Lester’s leadership has “contributed to the success of Nissan Australia and New Zealand and we thank him for his contributions”.
