New dealerships for MG
MG has opened two new dealerships in Blenheim and Timaru, which means the marque’s representation in the South Island has increased from four to six locations.
Marlborough MG is the latest addition to the brand’s national network and is led by Simon Wakelin, dealer principal, and has Sky Boskett-Barnes and Matthew Grigg as sales consultants.
The dealership is part of Mayfield Motorworld, located at 6 Hutcheson Street, Blenheim, and offers new vehicle sales, aftersales, servicing and parts.
“There has been unprecedented interest in MG, especially following its recent Car of the Year successes here in New Zealand,” says Wakelin.
“We’re really enthusiastic about representing MG in the Marlborough region and feel there is real momentum building with the brand, there are exciting times ahead.”
Expanding the carmaker’s reach further south is Timaru MG, where Keryn Pow is the business manager and Pierre Guinan a sales consultant.
New vehicle sales take place at 19 Theodosia St and the dealership has a separate premise catering for service and parts.
“MG is a brand on the move and we’re really thrilled to offer the full range of new MG models to our customers,” adds Pow.
“We look forward to seeing more MGs on the streets around Timaru and the surrounding regions.”
The two new South Island sites join the marque’s existing MG outlets in Nelson, Christchurch, Dunedin and Invercargill.
Arek Zywot, country manager of MG New Zealand, says the company is thrilled to be growing its brand presence and taking its new model range to a wider audience.
“The centenary of MG Motor is proving to be a momentous one for the marque here in New Zealand as the brand undergoes exciting expansion,” he continues.
“The model lineup has never been stronger, with a wide variety of new zero and low-emission personal mobility solutions available.”
