New dealer network launches

AA Motoring has launched its preferred dealer network with 26 motor-vehicle traders and is keen to increase that number.

Dealers in Auckland, Hamilton, Tauranga, Mount Maunganui, Napier, Wellington and Christchurch have all been given the “AA seal of approval” as part of the scheme.

To become a preferred dealer, at least 80 per cent of vehicles at a yard must have been through an AA appraisal. All newly imported vehicles will also have been odometer verified by an AA-accredited partner and have completed entry compliance through an AA site.

Jonathan Sergel, AA Motoring Services general manager, says the network is made up of a select group of dealers that have been through a review and selection process over the past few months.

“The vehicles in their yards have not only been through a series of checks by the AA, they also offer a level of service which we back and trust,” he explains.

“We’re delighted to have signed up dealers in several major centres. This is just the beginning. We’re excited to keep growing our network, so we can help motorists nationwide have extra confidence when choosing their next car.”

The network is free to join and benefits include AA Motoring Preferred Dealer branding on a company’s signage and digital channels, and promotion to about 2.8 million Kiwis who are AA Members or AA Smartfuel cardholders.

Sergel, pictured, adds he is pleased the network has launched with a group of dealers selling a wide range of New Zealand new and imported vehicles.

“As a trusted and expert motoring voice, AA members and motorists often ask us for dealer recommendations,” he says.

“Now they simply need to go to aa.co.nz/preferred or call us on 0800 500 333 to get our personal recommendation for quality dealers in their area.”
