Kia reveals new logo

Kia has marked plans to revamp all facets of its business and an ambition become a leader in the future mobility industry by unveiling a new corporate logo and global brand slogan.

The marque’s logo, pictured above, was revealed during a record-breaking pyrotechnic display in Incheon, Korea.

Ho Sung Song, president and chief executive officer, says: “Kia’s new logo represents the company’s commitment to becoming an icon for change and innovation.

“The automotive industry is experiencing a period of rapid transformation, and Kia is proactively shaping and adapting to these changes.

“Our new logo represents our desire to inspire customers as their mobility needs evolve, and for our employees to rise to the challenges we face in a fast-changing industry.”

The logo was revealed as part of a spectacular display on January 6 featuring 303 pyrodrones, which set a Guinness World

Record for most unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) launching fireworks simultaneously.

Kia also revealed its new global brand slogan, “Movement that inspires”.

The marque plans to detail its new brand strategy, including how that will affect Kia’s future product line-up, during a digital event on January 15.

The branding changes follow the announcement of Kia’s “Plan S” long-term business strategy in 2020, which aims to make the carmaker a global leader in popularising electric vehicles (EVs) and introduce a range of mobility services.
