Honda has unveiled its all-new Civic five-door hatchback, the 11th-generation of the marque’s small car.
With a coupe-like profile inspired by European sport-backs, it builds on the fresh exterior design seen on the 11th-generation Civic sedan with styling cues giving it a sportier stance.
The interior is simple, clean and uncluttered with good visibility and ergonomics, passenger volume and driver-focused technology.
Since its launch in 1972, the Civic series has become a global success that is sold in more than 170 countries with total registrations exceeding 27 million units.
Available at launch with an uprated version of the current 1.5-litre VTEC turbo engine, the advanced e:HEV powertrain is set to follow in 2022.
The all-new Civic hatch is scheduled to go on sale down under in the fourth quarter of this year.
