Get surfing, Kiwi style
Volkswagen has teamed up with Surfing New Zealand to become its official vehicle supplier.
The German marque says it has long been synonymous with surfing culture in this country, as well as globally, way back to the 1960s with the Kombi and Beetle.
Its fleet now includes the likes of the Amarok V6, which will be used by Surfing NZ, through to the California camper.
“Our local surfing community plays a big role in generating passion for the sport,” says Kevin Richards, general manager of Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles. “We are excited to be able support local Kiwis.”
Ben Kennings, GM of Surfing NZ, says his team will now travel the regions in the V6, pictured, to deliver nationwide initiatives from community projects through to domestic and international events.
