Ford New Zealand has announced the new Mustang Mach-E will be available in three models when it arrives here early next year.
The line-up will include two battery options, with the RWD variant having a 75.7kWh unit and delivering a range of 440km according to WLTP figures.
The AWD and GT AWD models will feature a 98.7kWh battery and offer ranges of 540km and 500km respectively.
Ford says its first electric Mustang has outsold the petrol-powered version worldwide by a factor of eight-to-one so far in 2022.
Simon Rutherford, managing director of Ford NZ, says: “Mustang Mach-E was developed from the ground up to deliver the character and performance of our iconic Mustang sports car.
“It delivers that unique Mustang exhilaration and experience but in full EV mode with a host of impressive technologies and incredible performance.”
Ford dealerships in New Zealand are preparing for the arrival of the Mach-E with customer and technical training sessions under way.
“There is certainly a lot to take in whenever a new vehicle is launched let alone an entirely new powertrain technology and platform like the Mach-E,” explains Rutherford.
“We are gearing up to help our dealership teams at every level become Mach-E and EV experts, helping to ensure when a customer emails, calls or walks in with questions, they’ll get the information they need.”
Pricing and full vehicle specifications will be confirmed closer to launch.
