Extended range option
The L03 will introduce key Xpeng technologies to New Zealand including XOS 6.0 and its Kunpeng “super electric system”, which underpins the PowerX Long Range variant.
The model’s line-up comprises four variants spanning everyday EV driving, long-range electric mobility, high-performance all-wheel drive (AWD) and extended-range technology.
The L03 PowerX combines a large battery and efficient extender with AI-powered energy management. The car is propelled by its electric motor, maintaining an electric driving experience while providing extra range for longer journeys.
AI-powered energy management co-ordinates power and energy use across city, highway and climbing scenarios to help optimise efficiency, performance and range.
Costing from $49,990 excluding on-roads, the PowerX Long Range shares the same starting price as the RWD Standard Range. The Long Range variant with RWD starts at $54,990 while the AWD Performance Ultra is priced from $64,990.

The L03 combines XPILOT driver-assistance functions with intelligent parking and active safety features designed to support the driver on everyday journeys.
Functions include adaptive cruise control, lane centring, lane-change assistance, automatic emergency braking, forward-collision warning, traffic-sign recognition, blind-spot detection, lane-departure warning, emergency lane keeping and intelligent parking assistance.
XOS 6 is Xpeng’s latest smart-cabin operating system, and brings navigation, connectivity, voice interaction and car controls into a single digital environment. Designed as a software-defined cabin, it can evolve through over-the-air software updates.
Google Maps integration supports native navigation, intelligent charging-route planning and navigation continuity across the instrument cluster, centre display and head-up display. The L03 also supports wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, wireless smartphone charging and app-based vehicle control.
With a 2,850mm wheelbase, the L03 combines a five-seat cabin “with proportions suited to urban driving, family use and longer journeys”. Its intelligent cockpit centres on a 15.6-inch touchscreen supported by natural voice interaction.
The cabin “combines comfort and practicality” with 256-colour interactive ambient lighting, heated and ventilated front seats, a panoramic glass roof and 37 storage spaces. Safety and driver-assistance features include a driver-monitoring system, rear and front cross-traffic alerts, door-opening warning, a 360-degree camera, parking sensors and multiple airbags.
