Digital store speeds access to models

BMW New Zealand has launched a new online store to allow customers to secure upcoming models months before their arrive in the country.

The new digital service allows motorists to configure any vehicle to their own specifications, such as colour and trim combinations, and send an enquiry to their preferred dealer. The dealer then helps the customer to finalise their preferences and place an order.

Customers can also use the BMW Store to secure any new model in stock with a four-step process, request a test drive of a similar chosen vehicle, seek an online price quotation, or have an online chat with a sales consultant.

An opportunity to secure the BMW X2 Mesh Edition is helping launch the online facility, with local deliveries of the car not due until the second quarter of 2021.

The special edition sports activity coupe, pictured, builds on the M Sport X model and offers a range of exclusive touches.

It comes in five exterior combinations, including Brooklyn Grey metallic and Black Sapphire metallic featuring orange decal highlights and orange contrast on 20-inch M aerodynamic wheels. Other options are Alpine White, Phytonic Blue metallic and Sunset Orange metallic variants with black decals and M aerodynamic wheels with a bicolour finish.

Inside, edition-exclusive heated M Sport front seats are upholstered in Mocha Brown leather and Anthracite Alcantara, accentuated by orange contrasting seams.
