Autosure auction to boost charity

Autosure is racking up bids for a range of items as part of its annual charity auction to raise money to support research into gut cancers.
The insurance company launched a silent auction at the start of the month ahead of a live bidding event that will take place from 4-6pm on Wednesday, March 20.
Among the lots are a Mike Pero Racing jacket and cap, both signed by motorsport legend Greg Murphy, a model car kit, wine, a cookbook, $50 and $100 gift cards, and a pie maker.
Natalie Ross-Murphy, Autosure’s marketing manager, says: “On March 1 we kicked off our internal silent auction that runs until the live auction, where we go from the highest silent bid and see how much more we can get.”
Money from the event, which is being held at the Canon Building, 28 The Warehouse Way, Northcote, will boost the coffers of the Gut Cancer Foundation.
Autosure is also running an online donation campaign this month to generate more cash for the charity and every dollar donated will be matched by its parent company, Turners Automotive Group. To donate visit www.giveitup.nz/autosure.
All money raised online and at the auction will go towards the foundation’s clinical research and trials to help improve the outcome for the 17 Kiwis diagnosed with gut cancer daily.
