Website signs up partners
Five marques have signed on as exclusive launch partners of CarExpert New Zealand ahead of its launch later this month.
The online service aims to help consumers navigate what’s become an increasingly complex and competitive market.
The new-car sector has expanded rapidly in recent years with more brands, models and powertrain options available in this country than at any time in the past.
As choice increases, so too does the need for guidance to help buyers navigate their options and progress from research to shortlist.
CarExpert NZ says it will help fill that gap by providing locally relevant reviews, comparisons and tools designed around how people research new vehicles today.
Damon Rielly, chief executive officer, explains: “The New Zealand market is evolving quickly. Buyers are facing more choice and decisions than ever before.
“That creates a real need for trusted, specialist guidance. The five foundation partners recognise that change by supporting CarExpert NZ from launch.”
The launch partners are Chery, Ford, GWM, MG and Mini. Rielly, pictured above, says their involvement reflects a shared focus on supporting the broader market ecosystem, including dealerships, by reaching buyers during the research and consideration phase.
CarExpert enters New Zealand with proven experience from Australia. The learnings from that market, including how buyers research, compare and shortlist vehicles, have informed the product and content approach on our side of the Tasman.
It’s a joint venture with Trade Me that will feature new-car content published on both websites as well as Stuff.
“We know the journey to buying a new car starts online, long before a customer gets to the showroom,” says Mathew Slade, Ford NZ’s marketing director.
“The launch of CarExpert in New Zealand is a fantastic development for the industry. When Kiwis feel confident in their research, it drives better outcomes for buyers and ensures the ongoing success of our dedicated dealers.”
The foundation partner programme runs through to June 30 after which advertising opportunities will open to additional brands.
