Tourism Holdings Ltd (THL) has lined up the strategic acquisition of Camperagent RV Centre in Australia.

The acquisition by the New Zealand-based company plays a role in its broader strategy to strengthen its foothold in the global RV sector. The purchase price of the Adelaide dealership is around NZ$12.87m.

Camperagent RV Centre specialises in trading new and used motorhomes, campervans and caravans, and also provides servicing, parts and storage solutions.

Grant Webster, pictured, THL’s managing director, says the acquisition is more than an expansion. It’s also a strategic alignment that enhances the company’s “build, rent, sell” RV model across the Tasman. The completion of the transaction was expected by the end of January.

THL made a net profit of $49.9m and rental revenue of $280.6m in the 2023 financial. In November 2022, it merged with Apollo Tourism and Leisure to create the world’s largest commercial RV rental operator.
