Toyota Motor Corporation Australia (TMCA) has acquired software development and implementation business Revolution Software Service.

The takeover has enhanced Toyota Australia’s ability to deliver dealer software-management solutions and support its franchise network as TMCA transitions into a mobility company.

Revolution has provided advanced technologies and services for Toyota NZ’s dealer management system (DMS) known as TUNZ – the Kiwi version of TUNE.

Toyota NZ is now working closely with its Australian counterparts, Revolution and Toyota Stores, to update its development roadmap for TUNZ. The marque in this country will continue to have dedicated resources and support that focus on maximising TUNZ for its dealers and customers.

TMCA has worked closely with Revolution to minimise impacts to employees and business operations. Mike Rausa, Toyota Australia’s vice-president of regional and guest operations, says more than 200 Toyota and Lexus dealers across the Tasman are expected to be using the platform by the end of 2023.

“This acquisition gives us the ability to work closely with our dealers to integrate best-practice technologies and know-how in a challenging mobility environment,” he adds.

Anthony Nadalini, Revolution’s co-founder, says the business will expand as more Toyota and Lexus dealers adopt TUNE. “As a standalone company in the Toyota group, Revolution has the certainty and security that will enhance its ability to provide cutting-edge services and support for existing and new customers.”
