Supercars to drive fundraiser

More than $100 million worth of rare and sought-after models are set to go on public display for the third edition of the Starship Supercar Show in Auckland.
The two-day event, staged by Giltrap Group, will be held across five levels of the company’s headquarters in Grey Lynn on September 20 and 21.
Car enthusiasts will have the chance to get a close look at more than 100 cars, ranging from Formula 1 racers to hypercars and classic supercars, across eight sessions over the weekend.
It will be the third running of the biennial event, which has raised more than $400,000 for the Starship Foundation since 2021.
Michael Giltrap, joint managing director of Giltrap Group, says: “The Starship Supercar Show is a highlight for our team at Giltrap Group, not only do we get to share our love of cars, but we are supporting Starship and the incredible work they do to care for Kiwi kids.”
All money raised from ticket sales goes towards supporting the work of Starship and the show was extended from one day to two days in 2023.
Jo Simon, Starship Foundation’s CEO, adds: “Every ticket sold to the Starship Supercar Show helps drive forward life-changing care for sick and injured children across New Zealand.
“Thanks to the Giltrap Group and everyone who supports this incredible event, we’re able to fund new treatments, cutting-edge research, and world-leading innovation that gives our young patients the best possible chance.
“We are truly grateful for the generosity and heart behind this show – it fuels real progress for our children, their whanau and the future of paediatric healthcare.”
Tickets for the event go on sale from July 24. For more details, visit www.supercarshow.co.nz.
