Sales numbers on the rise
The average number of sales per dealership edged up to 23 cars last week, according to the latest figures from Apexdealerdata.com.
Across the market, 865 dealers completed sales and the average number of days to sell a vehicle came in at 60.
Matt Grant, chief executive of the company, says data from its AI-driven decision engine shows 18 per cent of stock nationwide last week was categorised as underpriced, or marketed at $2,431 less than what would generate the quickest return and most value to dealers.
“The dealership we reported on last week has also bought a further six cars and the total margin in those cars is $40,000,” he adds.
Grant, pictured, claims the dealership is expected to make total gains of about $70,000 this month thanks partly to using his company’s system, which has been designed specifically for the local automotive industry.
