If you're guilty of a parking blunder don't expect anyone to help until they've taken a photo first.  

Finding the right parking space can sometimes be a chore, but we’re puzzled how some of these motorists got it so wrong.

Our gallery of carpark catastrophes was inspired after a member of the Autofile team this week spotted a car that had overshot its space and was tipping on to the pavement in Mount Roskill, Auckland.

At least, unlike some of the other images above, it was only the unfortunate motorist's car that was in strife.
