New director for Geneva
Former chairman returns to finance company to take up non-executive role on board.

Geneva Finance has announced the appointment of David Smale as an independent director.
Smale brings more than 40 years of experience in establishing and building businesses in the primary, horticultural and export sectors.
He previously served as chairman of Geneva Finance from April 2009 to June 2020. Smale’s new role as a non-executive director on the company’s board was effective from September 7.
In line with the NZX Listing Rules, Smale will retire and stand for election at the company’s next annual shareholder meeting, which is likely to be held this month.
