Loose moose trashes BMWs
A moose went on the rampage at a BMW and Mini dealership in Sweden after wandering into the building and damaging three classic vehicles as it floundered around and tried to escape.
Viktor Ortegren, chief executive of Schmiedmann, heard loud noises from the area where cars are parked when on-site last month and was surprised when he came out to see the giant mammal trampling over cars.
The moose slammed its front hooves into the bonnet of a freshly painted BMW 850i being restored at the business and also damaged a BMW E36 3 Series and a E31 850i, reports autoevolution.
Eventually, after causing about 150,000 kroner (NZ$23,000) of damage, the creature found its way out of the garage before disappearing across a nearby highway and into a forest.
Alexander Friis Larsen, a company spokesman, joked after the moose’s shock visit that he was “just happy it didn't find the car keys”.
