Google Maps appears to have captured the moment one of its own camera-laden cars was pulled over by US police.

A sequence of images for the digital mapping service’s Street View shows a police car tailing one of its vehicles in Maryland.

The police vehicle first appears in a picture taken on a winding mountain road close to the Camp David presidential retreat.

Images along Park Central Road show the officer gradually closing in on the Google vehicle before turning on its flashing lights.

The Google car then appears to be ushered into a carpark before images of the route abruptly stop, reports the Sun.

The funny series of shots were spotted by a Google Maps fan, who goes by the username of Hot_Wheels_guy and shared the images on Reddit in 2019.
