Nissan New Zealand is preparing to add the model year 2025 Patrol to its domestic line-up, with the marque’s flagship SUV boasting a number of new updates.

The majority of the model’s changes have been focused on the cabin, which features two interior colour schemes.

Consumers can choose between a minimalist, modern black leather-accented layout, or a premium-feeling chestnut palette, complete with woodgrain highlights through the dash and door, and quilted leather-accented seats.

Also new for 2025 is a 12.3-inch central touchscreen in the cabin that is accessed through touchscreen controls located near the automatic shift lever, or through controls integrated within the steering wheel.

The infotainment screen handles all connectivity, including wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as in-built navigation.

Other technology upgrades include wireless device charging and a new seven-inch TFT driver dash display, a digital binnacle that provides access to all key driving information, including speed, efficiency and navigation instructions.

New Zealand will receive the flagship Ti-L grade, which also comes with a 13-speaker Bose stereo, a centre console cool box and a digital high-definition intelligent rear-view mirror.

The Patrol is powered by a 5.6-litre V8 petrol engine, producing 298kW at 5800rpm and 560Nm at 4000rpm. It is paired with a seven-speed automatic transmission with manual mode and adaptive shift control, as well as Intelligent 4WD with electronic 4WD selection.

Recommended pricing for the MY2025 Patrol starts from $118,990 plus on-road costs.

Andrew Humberstone, Nissan Oceania’s managing director, says: “Practicality, capability and comfort have long been the hallmarks of the Patrol, and these 2025 updates only improve the recipe that has made our flagship SUV so enduringly popular among adventurous New Zealand families.

“The 2025 Patrol delivers improved cabin comfort and technology that only enhances the drive experience whether you’re on or off-road, without altering any of those core fundamentals.”

Humberstone notes Nissan has had a presence in New Zealand since 1954, including manufacturing and assembling cars for 30 years, and is “here to stay”.

“With the new product we have in the pipeline and the fantastic 2025 results we’ve seen so far in New Zealand – including a dramatic lift in the Navara’s market share from six per cent to circa 10 per cent, while Nissan New Zealand’s market share has also grown by 1.1 per cent this year – it’s clear New Zealand customers continue to value our models.”
