Ute lands top rating

The expanded Triton range has retained it five-star ANCAP safety rating.

The Mitsubishi was the first dual-cab pick-up to be awarded a top rating against current ANCAP criteria, and has now been joined by the recently announced dual-cab chassis, club-cab pick-up and cab chassis, and single-cab chassis variants.

The marque says ANCAP noted the Triton demonstrates high levels of protection for occupants in crash tests, and has a broad fitment of airbags and advanced active-safety systems as key standard equipment.

The Triton scored 86 per cent for adult-occupant protection, 89 per cent for child-occupant protection, 73 per cent for vulnerable road-user protection and 70 per cent for safety assist.
