Finance firm behind V8 utes

UDC Finance will be the title sponsor of the V8 utes for the next three seasons in a deal that extends its existing arrangement as the series’ principal partner. The company has been sponsor over the past three seasons with trackside hospitality for its clients and hot-lap experiences – and this will continue along with branding on series Ford and Holden racers and on signage at championship events. The UDC V8 Ute series is the main support category to the BNT V8 SuperTourers and has also run at the annual V8 Supercar meeting for the past three years. It’s a proven development series for V8 stars of the future, with Chris Pither, Andrew Waite and Matt Lockwood among its champions over the past six seasons. Managing director Paul Isaac says: “The new three-year deal is great news for the category and shareholders. It underpins our philosophy as a series of great racing that also provides a ready-made and high-quality marketing platform for corporate partners. “We have a number of initiatives in the pipeline to make the series even more appealing to drivers, teams and fans and – with additional drivers and utes confirmed for 2014 – we can look forward to action-packed fields.” A drive from ninth on the grid sealed this year’s title for Chris Hanley.
