Fieldays success for Mitsubishi

Mitsubishi Motors NZ (MMNZ) has doubled its Fieldays first-day sales record compared to last year.

Reece Congdon, Head of Marketing and Corporate Affairs at MMNZ, said like other brands, Mitsubishi do not release specific figures from the event.

“Having said that, it is a significant number of units sold from one day's trading,” Congdon told Autofile.

Mitsubishi Motors is one of several popular car brands showcasing their top-selling line-up at Mystery Creek’s Fieldays near Hamilton this week.

The line-up includes three types of Triton utes; the Black Edition GLS 4WD, the Huntaway II and the Triton R Concept, as well as their staple models, such as the Outlander, Pajero Sport and Eclipse Cross.

The Southern Hemisphere’s largest agricultural event is a great way for car-brands to promote the latest enthusiast-oriented vehicles and release exclusive deals.

Mitsubishi announced recently that their next sales goal is a ten per cent market share following a management reshuffle. They sold 11,651 vehicles in 2017, giving them a 7.5 per cent market share.
