Festive trimmings for ditched car

Residents in the US have had some fun with a Chevy Impala that was abandoned in their neighbourhood for about three months by covering it in Christmas decorations.
Tinsel was used to spell out the word “tow” on the windscreen, stockings were dotted around the vehicle, bows were placed on top and there was even a letter attached for Santa saying, “Abandoned, Please tow for Xmas!”
A resident of the Denver community where the car had been ditched said he had contacted authorities twice this year about the vehicle and was surprised when he recently came outside to discover it had been spruced up for the season.
“It was amazing,” he told Fox31 Denver. “I’m not the only one who appreciates this type of festivity … [but] I think this thing is on borrowed time now.”
And indeed it was, with tow crews turning up just days later to remove the vehicle.
