Dealership faces High Court hearing

A dealership specialising in electric vehicles (EVs) faces the risk of liquidation following legal action by a car importation business.
An application to put Hamilton Electric Vehicles into liquidation was filed by Key Alliance Pro Ltd in November last year and advertised in the New Zealand Gazette on February 12.
The case will be heard in the High Court at Tauranga on February 26.
Glenn Keatley, manager of Key Alliance Pro, declined to comment on the reasons for taking the court action, reports the Waikato Times.
Meanwhile, Nicholas Down, Hamilton EV managing director, told the news publication the origins of the dispute go back two years.
He says his company also has a counterclaim against the Auckland-based importer and wholesaler, which is part of the IBC Auto group, and that case is due to be heard in court on March 8.
