Cybertruck comes down under

The Cybertruck has finally made it to Australian shores four years after its global debut and some five months after first deliveries were made to buyers at an event in Texas in the United States.
The first unit arrived in Australia a week ago before its “road show” down under kicked off in Sydney.
Tesla has also released a video of the ute going across the city’s harbour bridge and has announced tour dates in NSW.
The company states on its website: “Join us in Sydney and meet our display Cybertruck. During your visit, you’ll have the opportunity to test drive Model 3 or Model Y.”
The Cybertruck on display is registered for on-road use for the next 12 months, which may hint as to the tour’s duration. It’s a Texas-built dual-motor variant.
Tesla suggests an Australian and New Zealand tour may be on the cards with more details to follow.
New Zealand has already seen the Cybertruck visit for winter testing last year before official production started in September. Tesla says production of the vehicle now stands at 1,000 units per week.
