Blackwells Mazda named marque’s top dealer again
Christchurch’s Blackwells Mazda is celebrating after winning Mazda’s Dealer of the Year for the second year in a row for overall excellence across all parts of its business.
To win the honour, all areas of the dealership operation are evaluated, including vehicle and parts sales, service department performance and customer satisfaction results.
Seth Ovens, dealer principal at Blackwells says he is proud of the hard work his team puts in and their commitment to putting customers first.
“We are delighted to be Mazda Dealer of the Year for the second year running,” he adds. “The team have taken the success we had last year and challenged themselves to do better. It’s humbling to see our efforts pay off.”
David Hodge, managing director of Mazda New Zealand, says the team at Blackwells Mazda are constantly looking for new ways to be the best they can be for their customers.
“Our dealer awards are all about celebrating the Mazda brand and acknowledging the hard work and dedication from our dealer network to the Mazda customer,” he explains.
“The team at Blackwells are the pinnacle of excellence among our dealer group. They are a fantastic team who all do their jobs exceptionally well.”
The Mazda Dealer of the Year Awards aim to recognise excellence across all areas of the business and the dealership network is divided into three groups for the annual prizegiving, these are metropolitan dealers, provincial city dealers and rural dealers.
The top two scoring dealerships in each group become Dealer Performance Award winners, and the business with the most points is named Mazda Dealer of the Year.
Other winners of Dealer Performance Awards for their efforts in 2019 were North Harbour Mazda, Pacific Motor Group in Whangarei, Palmfeild Motors in Palmerston North, Nicholson Mazda in Whakatane and Gisborne Motors.
