November was a topsy-turvy month for sales of new utes with Ford’s Ranger recording a year-on-year drop of 24.8 per cent, while Toyota’s Hilux and Mitsubishi’s Triton climbed by 31.5 and 183.5 per cent respectively.

Overall, it was a good month for the new commercials with total registrations of 3,204. That was up by 6.1 per cent from 3,019 in November 2023 to take 2024’s total to 38,288.

The Hilux came second with 551 with a monthly market share of 17.2 per cent. The Triton was third with 258, Fiat’s Ducato was fourth on 193 and the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter came fifth with 124.

Ford finished November with 915 sales to claim a 28.6 per cent share of the market. Toyota came second with 689 and 21.5 per cent. The top five was completed by Mitsubishi on 258, and Fiat and Isuzu both with 193.
