‘Beasts’ on offer at Fieldays

Mitsubishi Motors NZ (MMNZ) is returning to this year’s Fieldays with a brace of beasts “too rare to miss” – the “strictly” limited-edition Triton GSR and GLX Sport utes – plus a sneak preview of the new 2025 Outlander petrol and plug-in hybrid variants.

The range-topping GSR and GLX Sport, pictured, will be available with premium accessories at special Fieldays price of $69,990 and $49,990 respectively. There will be 100 GSRs and 300 Sports at these prices.

“The GSR is the undisputed king of the beasts,” enthuses Reece Congdon, head of marketing and corporate affairs. “It’s the ultimate Triton with a striking design, top-level spec, and the perfect blend of toughness and style for any adventure.

“Fieldays is always a special event on our calendar. We’re excited to be launching this very special offer to mark the occasion.”

In addition to features available on the GLX Sport including power lumbar support, advanced safety systems, a nine-inch SDA navigation system and Super Select II 4WD, the GSR comes equipped with unique 20-inch black alloys, all-terrain Nexen tyres, a front nudge bar, sailplane sports bar and electric roll-top.

The GLX Sport is a “cut above” the regular model with a range of extra features. These include 18-inch black alloys, a black sports bar, leather steering wheel and leather gear shift.

“Only 100 GSR models and 300 GLX Sport are available at these prices, so they really are two beasts too rare to miss out on,” says Congdon.

Representing the Triton’s practical off-road capabilities will be one of the models loaned by MMNZ to disaster-relief charity Taskforce Kiwi, helping to provide tactical emergency response in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch.

The utes will be joined at Fieldays, which runs from June 11-14, by the full Mitsubishi range, which includes the second and third highest-selling passenger cars of 2024 – the ASX and Outlander.

“These are our most popular models and among the most popular vehicles for Kiwis,” adds Congdon.

“There will be something for everyone at our Fieldays stand and the chance to preview our brand-new 2025 model-year petrol and hybrid Outlanders. Finance options will be available onsite through our partners UDC. We’ll also have some great deals on a range of genuine accessories.”
