Acadia pricing revealed
The all-new Acadia, Holden’s large seven-seat SUV, will soon arrive in New Zealand and will be available to test drive at Holden dealers around the country in November.
"The new model offers the latest technology, a full suite of safety features, local tuning for our roads as well as the luxury of space, combined with versatile interior configurations," says Holden New Zealand managing director Marc Ebolo.
"It’s available from only $49,990, which includes three-years free scheduled servicing, three-years roadside assistance and three-years warranty on all models in the range."
Built to rule the road, Acadia is powered by a 3.6-litre V6 petrol engine with direct fuel injection, stop/start and active fuel management across the entire range. Its 231kW and 367Nm are put to the road via a nine-speed automatic transmission and the choice of two or all-wheel variants.
A genuine seven-seater, Acadia’s second seating row adjusts front to rear allowing leg room for all and maximum usability of the spacious third row. Both rows of rear seats fold flat for extra cargo capacity if need be.
Acadia boasts a range of active safety features across the entire range. They include; autonomous emergency braking with pedestrian and bicycle detection, following distance indicator, safety seat alert, forward collision alert, lateral impact avoidance, lane keep assist with lane departure warning and rear park assist.
Acadia will also help keep your passengers entertained with an 8-inch Holden next generation Infotainment touch-screen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and USB ports in all three rows.
Other clever Acadia features include traffic sign recognition (TSR). Holden engineers have undertaken tens of thousands of kilometres of real-world testing in Australia and New Zealand to ensure that TSR is both highly accurate and reliable across the extremely diverse range of road signs encountered throughout both countries.
Holden also put a fleet of Acadia through real-world local testing to accumulate a share of 1.5 million testing kilometres.
"Holden’s engineering input to Acadia focussed on delivering the direct steering and composed ride that Australian and Kiwi motorists look for when driving," said lead development engineer, Tony Metaxas.
