$250,577 raised at AHG charity dinner

Automotive Holdings Group (AHG) raised a record $250,577 at their annual charity dinner last night, with the process to be shared by the Camp Quality and Cure Kids charities. Last night’s record-topping fundraiser, held in the John Andrew Ford and Mazda showrooms, brings the total raised by AHG to over $1.2 million. AHG general manager Tony Salerno praised the dealerships at the black-tie dinner, including the teams at John Andrew Ford and Mazda, business partners and guests. Representatives from both charities spoke at the event. Cure Kids staffer Tiff McLeod, whose daughter, Eva, lives with gastrointestinal failure gave an address to the guests. From Camp Quality, camper Kavan and co-ordinator Sarah Greenwood both spoke about the benefits of the camp to children suffering the side effects of aggressive cancer treatment. A range of high-profile items were up for auction on the night, including a package for the 2017 NRL Grand Final and the 2019 Australian Open finals, and boxing gloves signed by Joseph Parker. As well as a silent auction at the John Andrew Mazda showroom, AHG ran several auctions on Trade Me to contribute to proceeds. These included a 2017 Ford Ranger XLT ute, an upgraded Mazda BT-50 ute, which fetched a combined $120,000.
