$24k boost for rescue teams

CoolDrive Auto Parts and the Blanchard Racing Team have come together to raise money and awareness for Westpac Rescue Helicopters.

Through a collaboration with customers, a road-going Ford Mustang, of CoolDrive Racing, sported a one-off livery showcasing the company’s support for the vital service.

“Westpac Rescue Helicopters NZ plays a critical role in providing rapid medical care and rescue operations,” says Shaun Mold, CoolDrive Auto Parts’ business development manager – New Zealand. “We were proud to support them in our community fundraiser.

“We are grateful to our trade customers and local businesses who generously donated more than $24,000, which has been given to Philips Search & Rescue Trust to support Westpac Rescue Helicopters.

“Our sincerest thanks and appreciation to all involved, with a special mention to Matamata Panelworks and Isaac Performance Vehicles for their support.”

The eye-catching livery was showcased by CoolDrive Racing at the Taupo Supercars last month, with BRT drivers James Courtney and Aaron Love in attendance at a special event celebrating the collaboration.

Covering Auckland, Waikato, Wellington and Christchurch, Westpac Rescue Helicopters are equipped with advanced medical equipment and highly trained personnel so they can respond effectively during emergencies and natural disasters.
