Where odd cars are the norm

A museum packed with unusual cars resembling everyday items – such as a camera, a tennis ball, a hamburger, shoes and a bed – has been entertaining visitors for more than a decade.

The Sudha Cars Museum in Hyderabad, India, was started in 2010 by Kanyaboyina Sudhakar and hosts a dazzling array of weird and wacky vehicles.

Sudhakar and his team produce all the novelty cars on display themselves and they cost between 85,000 and 150,000 Indian rupees (about NZ$1,600-2,900) to make.

Sudhakar’s fascination with odd vehicles doesn’t end there. He also holds the Guinness World Record for the largest tricycle, which measures 12.5 metres tall, and the museum boasts motorcycles of varying sizes, with the smallest 33 centimetres high and with a top speed of 30kph.
