LDV is adding an extra ute to its existing New Zealand line-up by launching the T60 MAX Plus.

The marque says the powerful and versatile model is designed for Kiwis who need a vehicle that’s “value packed” and can “effortlessly transition between work and family life”.

It describes the T60 MAX Plus with its dual-display interior as “an ultimate workhorse” thanks to its bi-turbo two-litre diesel Euro V engine, which produces 160kW of power 500Nm of torque.

The ute has a three-tonne braked towing capacity, ZF eight-speed transmission and four-wheel drive.

Kym Mellow, Inchcape NZ’s general manager, says: “We are thrilled to introduce this model, which comes with several upgrades and new features that enhance its practicality, safety and comfort.

“At LDV, we are all about helping Kiwis work harder every day and the T60 MAX Plus fulfils that promise.

“We’re also excited to offer owners a seven-year warranty, seven-year roadside assist and seven years’ worth of complimentary warrant of fitness checks.”

Priced from $55,990, the T60 MAX Plus combines power with intuitive technology and features, such as lane-keep assist, adaptive cruise control, autonomous emergency braking, dual 12.3-inch infotainment and driver displays with Bluetooth, AM/FM stereo radio, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Then there’s the 360-degree panoramic camera, wireless mobile-charging pad, black side mirrors that are heated and fold automatically, 18-inch black alloys, leather trimmed seats with heating, six-way electronic adjustment and heated front seats, front and rear parking sensors, and smart key with keyless entry and push-button start.

The ute has four tie-down points, an integrated step and tailgate assist for convenient opening. A spray-in tub liner keeps the bed protected from wear and tear, and a cargo tailgate lock gives owners security that their possessions are safe on the road.

The double-wishbone front suspension, electric power steering and steering-assist modes, which are standard and sport, add comfort and confidence.

The driver-orientated interior has been been designed with ergonomics in mind with all key functions easily within reach.

The new T60 MAX Plus is available to pre-order now with delivery in the new year. Test drives start on January 1.
