Ute sale raises $12k for charity

Auto Trader has helped raise more than $12,000 for charity after running an auction in partnership with The Alternative Commentary Collective (The ACC) in support of Movember. 

The listing for The ACC’s 1998 Ford Falcon ute, pictured, achieved nine million impressions and besides raising significant funds, it also brought attention to men’s mental health initiatives. 

A total of 68 bids were placed by 24 bidders before the auction closed with a winning bid of $12,150 on November 29. 

Ross Logue, Auto Trader’s managing director, says: “The success of this auction is a testament to the generosity and enthusiasm of our community in supporting men’s mental health initiatives.

“We’re thrilled to have collaborated with The ACC to make a meaningful impact for Movember and look forward to building on this momentum in the future.”

Funds raised through the auction have been directed to Movember’s programmes, which address challenges in men’s mental health, including suicide prevention and mental wellness support.
