Turners wins most trusted used car dealership crown
Turners, Toyota and the AA are among the nation’s most trusted brands, according to a new Reader’s Digest survey.
Turners Cars won the 2020 used car dealership category in the annual list, with Enterprise Motor Group and AutoSelect highly commended.
The Toyota brand enjoyed plenty of success after being named the fourth most trusted brand overall and taking out the cars section ahead of Honda and Nissan. It also scooped the manufacturer certified used car sales title with Toyota Signature Class.
Meanwhile, AA Insurance won the general insurance category for the 10th time and Bridgestone clinched the crown in the tyres section for the fourth straight year.
The Reader’s Digest survey quizzed 1,601 New Zealanders, who were asked to select three of their most trusted brands across 69 categories of products and services and give them a rating from one to 10.
Chocolate brand Whittaker’s was voted the most trusted brand, claiming the overall title for the ninth consecutive year. It was followed in the survey, which is in its 21st year, by Mitre 10 and Resene.
Reader’s Digest Australasian editor-in-chief Louise Waterson says being considered trustworthy comes with responsibilities and involves a commitment by companies to fulfil promises made to the consumer.
