Turners tops for customer service

Turners Cars has emerged as the best used vehicle dealership in an annual poll celebrating customer service excellence.

Reader’s Digest has announced the winning businesses for its Quality Service Award results, in what it acknowledges has been a time of “extreme difficulty” for customer service given lockdowns and other Covid-19 challenges. 

About 1,500 Kiwis were asked to rate the service provided by a range of businesses across 40 different categories.

Turners topped the used vehicle dealership category with 2 Cheap Cars scooping a silver award.

Other winners included Toyota Signature Class taking out the manufacturer certified used car sales category, followed by Honda Certified Used Cars.

Jucy pipped Britz to the campervan rentals crown, while Avis won the car rentals award ahead of Hertz.

AA Insurance triumphed in the car insurance section, with AMI named runner-up, and AA Roadservice was victorious in the roadside assistance category, with State collecting the silver award.

Bridgestone/Firestone took the honours for tyre retailers, with Beaurepaires in second place.

Louise Waterson, Reader’s Digest editor-in-chief, says the success of the award winners is arguably more commendable than ever after a challenging 2020.

“During the peak of the pandemic, the award-winning businesses remained savvy, clever and calm in their approach to customers, so much so that the importance of kindness and understanding once again became paramount,” she adds.
