Two of Toyota’s sub-brands have joined forces to create a futuristic-looking concept vehicle based on a Prius Prime.

The Ambivalent RD Prius PHV Concept has made its debut at the recent 2020 Tokyo Auto Salon and represents the first time Modellista, a styling house that focuses on custom exterior accessories, and TRD, Toyota's in-house performance shop, have come together on a project.

Little information has been released about the concept, but much of the body has been visually altered, reports Autoblog. Although the Prius maintains its chunky shape, it has redesigned front and rear fascias, and has a blacked-out top.

The Ambivalent boasts a full aerodynamic body kit with a front splitter, side skirts, and a diffuser. Rear tail fins pronounce the taillights and a spine runs down most of the vehicle. Designers have also added accent lighting to the front intake areas and wheels.
