The three finalists chosen for the passenger category of the 2022 AA Driven Car of the Year awards have multiple chances of success as they have also been shortlisted in other classes.

Honda’s Jazz, Kia’s EV6 and the Volkswagen Multivan T7 have been chosen by organisers to vie for the passenger gong that covers sedans, hatches and wagons.

The Jazz is also a contender in the hybrid and people’s choice categories of the annual awards, while the the EV6 and the Multivan T7 are finalists in the battery electric vehicle (BEV) and plug-in hybrid (PHEV) sections respectively.

Officials have been revealing the finalists of different categories ahead of the winners being announced on December 2.

The latest announcement also covered the sports and performance section, which will be a three-way battle between BMW’s M240i, Chevrolet’s C8 Corvette and the Hyundai Kona N.

The focus of the awards is on cars launched in the past 12 months but other vehicles on sale that have a five-star safety rating are also considered for the prizes.

Voting is still open for the people’s choice category, and finalists for the SUV and clean car sections were revealed earlier this month.
