Subscription service appoints chief
Dane Fisher has been appointed chief executive officer of vehicle-subscription service SIXT New Zealand after helping drive the establishment of the brand here.
He takes on the new role from September 1 and it marks a step up from being executive director of the company, which is part of the Giltrap Group.
Fisher, pictured, is a former general manager of Audi NZ and also spent nearly a decade in global roles for Automobili Lamborghini in Italy and Infiniti, the luxury division of Nissan, in Hong Kong.
His posts over the years have covered commercial motorsport, corporate strategy, brand strategy, regional management and incubating new mobility start-ups.
SIXT operates in more than 100 countries and launched here last year. It provides Kiwis access to new cars through a range of rental and subscription options and has branches at airports in Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch and Queenstown.
“As New Zealand grows and a global pandemic is changing the way we live, work and socialise, we are introducing the concept of new mobility to New Zealanders,” says Fisher.
“Unsettled by uncertainty, our premium and flexible solutions are a clever alternative to traditional vehicle ownership.
“I am very excited to lead such a strong and dynamic team that is already proving to be a game-changer in the new mobility industry and has a fantastic future ahead."
Richard Giltrap, joint managing director of the Giltrap Group, describes Fisher is an “innovative manager and natural leader” with years of strategic and operational experience.
“He will accelerate the growth of SIXT’s footprint in New Zealand and explore the immense potential of the new mobility market in our territory”, says Giltrap.
