Sir Colin suffers fall

Sir Colin Giltrap is recovering after breaking ribs in a fall with the 83-year-old requiring hospital treatment following the incident.

Shaun Summerfield, general manager of group communications, says Sir Colin “is now looking forward to spending Christmas with his family in London”.

In a statement to Autofile Online, Summerfield adds: “The Giltrap family are grateful for the many kind messages Sir Colin has received.”

In May this year, Sir Colin stepped down as chairman of the Giltrap Group and handed over to his two sons as equal shareholders. He remains as a director alongside his sons and two other team members, including chairman Chris Quin.
