Porsche recalls multiple models

Porsche is calling back a number of vehicles over problems affecting brakes, air conditioning and airbags.
The luxury carmaker has uncovered various hazards with its Panamera, pictured, including the risk of moisture getting into the control unit of the air-conditioning blower on models made from 2010-16.
Panameras built in 2018 and 2019 are also identified by Porsche as being at danger of their electrical power-steering wiring harnesses becoming trapped between the cross beam and underfloor cover. The marque says emission values may also be higher on some of these models with high mileage that were manufactured from 2017-19.
Another problem in the recalls, which were issued in December 10, is that versions of the Panamera and Cayenne from 2017-20 may have faulty software because “the brake-wear indicator logic was not sufficiently fulfilled”.
Porsche is also recalling 911, Boxster and Cayman units dating from 2016-17. It says there “is a possibility that an airbag control unit with a defective capacitor for maintaining power supply may have been installed on affected vehicles”.
The marque advises owners of the affected models to contact their nearest Porsche Centre to arrange an inspection and arrange any necessary repairs.
