P1 for sale in Auckland

The McLaren P1 petrol-electric hybrid has landed at the Giltrap McLaren showroom in Auckland. The car retails for $2.77m - and only 375 were produced, so it's expected to sell for an even higher price. Luke Neuberger of McLaren Auckland says there has been interest from around the world for the supercar from buyers who wished to remain anonymous. "It's going to go for a premium," he told Fairfax. Wayne Bruce, McLaren's communications manager says a "handful" of the cars were up for sale around the world and had gained about 50 per cent on their initial purchase price.
