New president for group
Intelligent Transport Systems New Zealand (ITSNZ) has appointed Armin Guttke to the roles of chairman and president.
Guttke, pictured, succeeds Mike Rudge who left in November to join the NZTA’s board after six years as a director, including four as chair.
Guttke takes more than 20 years of leadership experience into the role with a well-developed appreciation of technology, business and political challenges facing the transport sector.
He has been a director on the board of ITSNZ for around four years with key responsibilities for member engagement, promotion and advocacy.
Guttke says: “I’m delighted to be appointed as chair and president. I will continue working with the board and our members to ensure we deliver on strategic and policy actions that achieve our long-term objectives in supporting a more efficient, sustainable, inclusive and safer transport system.”
His experience in stakeholder engagement, strategic thinking, policy and advocacy will provide important governance and stewardship capability as ITSNZ continues to deliver advances on strategic outcomes during a critical time of growth and change in the broader sector.
