New look for Holden Astra

Renowned as being one of the most sporty, dynamic and agile vehicles in the competitive medium-size passenger car segment, the Holden Astra RS now adds an extra level of style and sophistication thanks to a smart new look delivered courtesy of a limited production special "black edition".

“Astra is a real driver’s car, thanks to its sporty 1.6-litre turbocharged petrol engine producing 147Kw of power and 300Nm of torque,” says national marketing manager, Marc Warr.

“It offers unparallel levels of performance, comfort and refinement and aesthetic enhancements now differentiate the new black edition from the standard Astra RS.”

The black edition is easily identifiable thanks to new content including a black roof, black 17-inch wheels, black mirror scalps, a black grille and a black headliner on the inside of the vehicle.

“If further design cues were required, the new model comes complete with Black Edition badge and decals along each side of the vehicle,” adds Warr.

As with all Astra RS models, the black edition comes standard with the latest generation MyLink infotainment system featuring class-leading Apple CarPlay or Android Auto, interfaced via a 7-inch colour touch screen.

Standard fitment safety features abound, including six airbags, rearview camera and active safety aids such as lane keep assist, forward collision alert, side blind zone alert plus electronic stability control, all of which contribute to a five-star ANCAP safety rating.

The black edition is available in three colours - nitrate, absolute red and summit white – and, as with all new models in the Holden range, comes complete with three-years free scheduled servicing, three-years roadside assistance and three-years warranty.

The Astra RS black edition is available at authorised Holden dealers around the country for $27,990 - the same price as a standard Astra RS.
