Trade Me has announced the appointment of Lisa Stewart as its new head of motors.

Stewart, pictured, takes up the role after leading Trade Me’s Marketplace for the past seven years.

Before joining Trade Me in 2017 as head of strategy and ventures, she held roles at eBay and strategic consultancy firms in London.

Stewart started her new job this month, in which she will be responsible for leading and growing the Trade Me Motors business, and says she is keen to meet with dealer partners and customers in the coming weeks.

“I’m incredibly excited to take on this new challenge. I’m looking forward to getting closer to our automotive dealers and continuing to create value for our buyers and sellers,” she adds.

Stewart replaces Brendan Hall, who has left the position to relocate to Australia with his family.

“Deciding to leave Trade Me has been a bittersweet choice for my family and me as we prepare to return to Australia,” explains Hall.

“I am incredibly proud of what the motors team has achieved and I’ll be cheering the team on from across the Tasman.”
